⁶ These are examples for us, so that we will not lust after evil things like they did.

⁷ Neither be worshippers of images like some of them were, as it is written: The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up again to play. ⁸ Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed fornication, and in one day 23,000 were destroyed.
